Team Secret releases its entire CSGO roster after struggles

Team Secret has officially terminated its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive roster, marking the end of a challenging one-year experiment in the tactical shooter scene. The organization, primarily celebrated for its dominant Dota 2 squad, originally acquired the promising m1x lineup with expectations of replicating success across multiple esports titles.

Despite initial optimism and theoretical potential, the squad consistently failed to deliver competitive results while competing under the Secret banner. Multiple factors including constant lineup adjustments, disappointing tournament finishes, and persistent logistical complications collectively determined the team’s ultimate fate.

“Our journey featured several encouraging moments, yet we must now bid farewell to our CS:GO division. Throughout the past twelve months, we deployed a roster brimming with skill and promise, but couldn’t overcome the final competitive hurdles,” Team Secret communicated through their official Twitter platform.

Continuous personnel modifications prevented Secret from ever breaking into HLTV’s prestigious top 30 CS:GO team rankings. Following a disappointing beginning to 2020, the organization removed Rigon “rigoN” Gashi and Filip “tudsoN” Tudev from active duty, replacing them with experienced Danish strategic leader Martin “PERCY” Wessel. This tactical adjustment initially appeared successful when, within days, Secret achieved their highest competitive placement by securing second position in a HomeSweetHome tournament.

Despite this temporary achievement at HomeSweetHome, Secret failed to sustain any comparable performance levels subsequently, and the team’s competitive position deteriorated further following Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi’s exit. After several months of barely qualifying for open tournament stages, the management elected to dissolve the competitive unit entirely.

The squad’s primary sniper specialist and potentially Israel’s most accomplished CS:GO competitor, Guy “anarkez” Trachtman, provided additional context regarding the dissolution decision, indicating numerous undisclosed internal circumstances potentially influenced the team’s collapse.
