Over recent competitive seasons, approved content producers have hosted simultaneous LCS broadcasts to cultivate communities around North America’s premier League of Legends competition. The LCS Watch Party Program functions autonomously from the comprehensive League Partnership Program (LPP), indicating LPP participants no longer automatically receive co-streaming authorization.
“Our Watch Party Program objective focuses on strengthening relationships between LCS and program collaborators through expanded content possibilities,” Riot representatives explained.
For the approaching summer competition, the initiative showcases six content creators initially, with potential additions throughout the split. These broadcasters represent established figures within the League ecosystem, regularly attracting substantial viewership across their individual channels.
The LCS Watch Party will feature:
- Nick “LS” Cesare
- Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng
- Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi
- William “Meteos” Hartman
- Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera
- Moe “Yassuo” Abdalrhman
The program additionally includes “FlyQuest Presents LCS En Vivo,” categorized among supplementary streaming partnerships.
When does the 2021 LCS Summer Split start?
The updated program becomes operational starting June 4, coinciding with the 2021 LCS Summer Split launch. The competition features ten elite North American squads battling for qualification to the 2021 World Championship.
Most organizations enjoyed adequate preparation time before opening matches, excluding Cloud9 who faces compressed readiness following their 2021 Mid-Season Invitational participation. Cloud9 exited during the rumble stage after delivering inconsistent tournament performance. To recover competitive momentum, Cloud9 returns to LCS action pursuing additional championship achievements.
When the split commences, all six program streamers are anticipated to provide weekly LCS co-broadcasts consistently.
