Riot brings the best Legends of Runeterra streamers to invitational event

Sixteen elite Legends of Runeterra content creators from North America and Europe will showcase their skills in tomorrow’s highly anticipated Principles Strength Invitational. This premier event brings together the most accomplished players in the competitive scene.

The Principles Strength Invitational marks the inaugural official tournament following the groundbreaking Rising Tides expansion release. This single-deck, best-of-three competition offers participants both prestige recognition and a substantial $1,000 prize pool. Selected competitors represent content creators who have demonstrated exceptional performance across multiple LoR tournaments throughout the open beta period, with many achieving numerous top-eight placements and championship victories. Several participating LoR professionals and streamers have attained Masters tier rankings across various competitive regions.

The tournament structure employs a single-deck configuration complemented by a 15-card closed sideboard system. Participants will be divided into two four-player pools competing in Round Robin best-of-three series. The leading two competitors from each pool advance to semifinal matches, which maintain the best-of-three format. Championship finals will be determined through an extended best-of-five series.

The Rising Tides collection introduces 120 innovative cards, unveiling the Bilgewater territory alongside multiple new champion options, featuring Gangplank and his pirate crew.

Loyal Badgerbear emerges as a standout addition, generated through the Grizzled Ranger’s Last Breath mechanic. This versatile unit can also be directly incorporated into deck constructions independently. This functionality stems from the Attune keyword, granting bonus spell mana when played. Activating dual spells occurs frequently across numerous deck types, ensuring this cost-efficient unit receives considerable competitive play.
