Well-known League of Legends content creator Nightblue3 faced disciplinary action from Riot Games, receiving a two-week competitive ban after improperly attempting to leverage his status to punish another competitor.

The streaming personality, who previously participated in the 2018 All-Star event, encountered significant criticism from the gaming community when he utilized a specialized Discord server reserved for League Partner Program members to report player Nubrac. In an unexpected development, both participants received suspensions simultaneously.

Nightblue3 shared evidence through social media displaying the conversation that resulted in his competitive restriction.

The content creator alleged Nubrac engaged in “deliberate match disruption” when the player started experimenting with off-meta positional strategies that diverged from conventional gameplay approaches.

“When teammates prefer to avoid matches, that’s acceptable. My objective remains securing victories through innovative methods. I consistently explore new tactical possibilities and test game mechanic boundaries,” Nubrac responded to Nightblue3’s preliminary warnings.

Riot’s disciplinary team clearly supported this perspective through their enforcement decisions.

When Nubrac petitioned to reverse his 14-day prohibition, Riot maintained their original determination was appropriate. The development team additionally notified Nubrac that future reports for “purposeful disadvantage creation” could potentially lead to permanent account suspension.

“I thoroughly reexamined the situation to confirm no errors occurred in this case, and regrettably I must affirm your two-week competitive ban was properly implemented. You can prevent comparable sanctions going forward by ensuring you consistently pursue victory in your matches and avoid deliberately providing advantages to opponents or disrupting your allies’ experience. The primary focus must remain achieving success in your games while supporting your team’s collective objectives,” Riot Games Support Team explained in their reply to Nubrac’s appeal.
