TL;DR
- Immortals released four starting players and assistant coach after last-place LCS finish
- The team’s 2020 performance declined from 8-10 spring record to 4-14 summer collapse
- Remaining roster features Allorim, Potluck/Xmithie, Insanity, Apollo, and Hakuho
- Veteran top laner sOAZ announced one-year competitive break, considering coaching role
- Organization faces complete rebuild after disastrous season with World Championship hopes dashed

Following a devastating last-place conclusion to the LCS 2020 Summer Season, Immortals has initiated sweeping organizational changes by severing ties with four primary competitors and assistant coach Adrien “GotoOne” Picard.
The franchise confirmed it would be moving on from support specialist Austin “Gate” Yu, bot lane carry Johnny “Altec” Ru, plus the French pairing of top lane veteran Paul “sOAZ” Boyer and mid lane operator Jérémy “Eika” Valdenaire.
The 2020 competitive year proved exceptionally challenging for Immortals. After completing the Spring Split with a mediocre 8-10 standing and failing to secure playoff qualification following a crucial tiebreaker defeat against Dignitas, the squad appeared desperately in need of strategic overhaul to contend for 2020 World Championship positioning.
Transitioning into the summer segment, management made the controversial decision to bench experienced jungler Jake “Xmithie” Puchero, opting instead for Nicholas “Potluck” Pollock.
Despite this personnel adjustment, team performance deteriorated sharply as Immortals suffered four consecutive opening match losses. By the third competitive week, leadership implemented radical measures by promoting their Academy lineup to LCS competition while demoting the primary roster to Academy League matches.
The substitute lineup promptly secured the organization’s inaugural victory and maintained starting roles throughout the remaining schedule, concluding with a disappointing 4-14 record. Meanwhile, the original starting five achieved an 8-10 Academy season record but similarly missed postseason opportunities..
Given the catastrophic season conclusion, Immortals’ approach to organizational reconstruction remains uncertain.
Currently,Immortals maintains this six-player competitive lineup:
- Top – Kieran “Allorim” Logue
- Jungle – Nicholas “Potluck” Pollock & Jake “Xmithie” Puchero
- Mid – David “Insanity” Challe
- ADC – Apollo “Apollo” Price
- Support – Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent
sOAZ,who joined Immortals at 2019’s conclusion, revealed through a TwitLonger posthis decision to take a twelve-month hiatus from professional competition before reassessing career directions. The seasoned competitor with nine years experience delivered underwhelming split performances, suggesting his peak competitive years may have passed.
“Although I maintain confidence in my ability to perform at elite levels, I’ve determined that stepping away from active play for one year represents my optimal path forward. The prospect of mentoring emerging talent, strategic development, and increased collaboration with coaching staff genuinely excites me,” sOAZ explained.
Other players released from the organization haven’t yet disclosed their future competitive plans.
