CSGO legends TaZ and NEO are coming back to form new Polish team

Polish esports icons Filip “NEO” Kubski and Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas are launching a fresh Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive squad. This marks another chapter in their enduring professional relationship that has spanned over a decade in the gaming arena.

While concrete organizational details remain scarce, insider reports confirm both veterans have initiated aggressive recruitment targeting elite Polish CSGO prospects. Their stated objective involves assembling a roster comprising the nation’s most skilled emerging players.

In an exclusive statement, TaZ emphasized how their extensive shared competitive journey remains crucial for the new organization’s potential achievements, notwithstanding their inconsistent individual performances in recent competitive seasons.

“Clearly, Neo and I required substantial time to process our complex competitive history. When you’ve competed alongside someone across numerous years, invested countless hours together and experienced both championship celebrations and devastating defeats, resolving differences becomes profoundly challenging,” TaZ explained. “Fortunately, time provided the necessary perspective. It demonstrated that the connection we share extends far beyond simply playing the same game competitively.”

The Polish professional competitors maintain an extensive shared background, most notably reconnecting in December 2019 when NEO served as temporary substitute for ARCY during WESG qualification tournaments. Prior to collaborating with TaZ in ARCY, NEO had been inactive within professional circuits since September 2019 following his departure from FaZe Clan. Functioning as primary in-game leadership, NEO guided that squad to DreamHack Masters Dallas semi-final appearances and BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles championship matches. However, these impressive competitive results failed to secure permanent positioning for the Polish esports legend.

NEO and TaZ competed together within Polish esports for fourteen consecutive years across organizations including Pentagram, Meet Your Makers, and Virtus.pro. Throughout their collaborative tenure, NEO and TaZ secured a prestigious CSGO Major championship during 2014. TaZ was moved to substitute status by Virtus.pro in 2018 and subsequently competed for Kinguin. That same competitive season, NEO departed Virtus.pro to participate with FaZe as temporary replacement.
